The Sales Director is responsible for leading, managing and achieving the primary sales goals. This individual will lead sales efforts of Infectious Disease Connect in collaboration with the leadership team. The Sales Director must have the ability to work in an environment that requires quick turnaround, poise, and skill with frequent interaction with senior management and external business partners requiring diplomacy, problem solving skills, resourcefulness, and professionalism. The Sales Director must demonstrate the drive, discipline and creativity to enter and dominate the market by developing the strategies and tactics to passionately position us as the industry leader. This position requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, confidentiality, initiative, and sound decision making.
Establish and maintain an effective system of communications throughout the organization.
Work closely with all departments to achieve long:term and short:term revenue and profit goals.
Strategic Thinking: Involves the generation and application of unique business insights and opportunities to create a competitive advantage for our business, to develop and enhance our current tools process and competitive positioning.
Guide Sales Opportunities: Evaluate, shape and guide sales strategies and courses of action for customers that consider facts, constraints, competitive circumstances, strategic priorities and connecting solutions to business needs. The ability to create constructive, not destructive tension, in order to reshape our customers thinking. Our Sales Directors will need to demonstrate a knowledge of Pharmacy workflow and ID consult challenges. He/she must be able to perform detailed discovery to uncover the GAPs in the current Infectious Disease Management and Antimicrobial Stewardship Program(s) in order to articulate the benefits of ID Connect.
Drive Innovation: Create novel approaches with measurable value for potential customers while experimenting with new ways to solve work problems and seize opportunities that result in unique and differentiated solutions.
Build trusting relationships: Use appropriate interpersonal styles to establish effective relationships with customers and internal partners; interact with others in a way that promotes openness and trust and gives them confidence in ones intentions. Utilizing structured, clear and succinct communication. Listen, Validate and then respond appropriately.
Territory Management: Optimize selling time and results by effectively managing ones portfolio assets and sales process tools. Build and develop a rolling 12:18:month funnel of 3:4 times the expected sales volume year over year.
Setting the sales strategy: Establish a plan to achieve your individual sales objectives, taking into consideration overall business and sales goals, market opportunities, past sales results, and available resources; reviewing progress and adjusting the plan as needed.
Sales Disposition: Demonstrate the traits, inclinations, and outlooks that characterize successful consultants; exhibiting behavioral styles that facilitate adaptation to the demands of the sales role. The ability to read and react according to each customers social style.
Facilitate the development and growth of sales to support ID Connects products and services..
Ensure ownership of ID Connects sales results and take corrective action to guarantee achievement of objectives within designated budgets.
Provide regular input regarding marketing programs, including advertising, competitive analysis, promotion, brand development, and publicity.
Identify, execute and manage market partnerships to leverage market channel and other opportunities.
Develop annual lead generation targets and financial projections.
