Assisting and supporting the Director of Sales and Marketing with all group sales strategies and actions necessary to meet/exceed marketing/business plans and budgeted goals.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THIS POSITION.
A results:driven, energetic and experienced sales leader with the ability to inspire the team and achieve sales goals Someone with large convention hotel experience and pre:opening and opening experience. This individual will maximize revenues for the Hotel through direct sales, marketing and designated activities specific to group sales accounts.

Business Results:

Serve as a group sales leader successfully leading, training and mentoring designated sales manager(s) and/or administrative team member(s).
Manage designated sales manager(s) sales plans and actions to activate, cultivate and maximize revenues meeting/exceeding goals in accordance with the hotel marketing/business plan.
Strategize, implement, monitor and modify individual sales plans and actions to activate, cultivate and maximize revenues for assigned territory and/or targeted segment(s).
Meeting/exceed individual goals in accordance with the hotel marketing/business plan.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the hotels market, demand generators, like cities and competitors. Make(s) recommendation(s) to revenue team to drive optimal result(s).
Assist with budgeting and forecasting as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma required. College degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years progressive hotel sales experience in a Full:Service hotel. Comparable group hotel and sales leadership experience and/or an equivalent amount of industry experience.
Hilton/Embassy Suites experience preferred
Pre: Opening/Opening Experience highly preferred.
Position requires up to 25 travel.
Business Skills:

Extensive knowledge of the meeting industry. Market or like market experience preferred.
Experience managing and leading a sales team.
Strong budgetary, projections, forecasting cost, and control skills
Comprehensive knowledge of the sales process. Ability to deploy and mentor stages of the sales cycle.
Proven track:record meeting/exceeding individual and team revenue goals
Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
