The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity due to the recent reorganization of Guest Worldwide into three independent operating companies.
As the Director of Business Development and Sales for Manchester Mills, you will manage and provide innovative leadership to maximize revenue, profits and sales opportunities using effective strategic business planning and resource allocation.
You will define and implement the manufactured textile sales strategy for short and long-term growth in North America and internationally, reinforcing our reputation as an industry leader and creating demand for our products with new and existing customers.
Focused on the hospitality industry, you will provide business analysis, opportunity identification and relationship building, while communicating business priorities across the team and corporate partners.

Develop and deliver annual sales budget based on defined customer business plans/goals and new strategic growth opportunities.

Directly manage major existing and developing customer accounts and coordinate the management of all other accounts.
Accounts include but are not limited to major hotel chains, management groups, laundries, distribution partners, as well as independent properties.

Collaborate and establish a productive working relationship with cross-functional teams; operations, finance, legal, product development, merchandising, marketing, and customer service.

Responsible for hiring, developing, and coaching a team of regional business development managers and textile specialists to meet critical timelines and drive results.
Utilizing the CMP process.

Professionally represent Manchester Mills at customer presentations, business reviews, meetings, etc., customer sponsored events, trade shows, internal conferences and events.

Actively participate in contract development and negotiations with customers and other partners.

Manage the open line Manchester Mills hospitality product assortment in collaboration with the product development and procurement teams, to meet customer needs, industry trends, competitive pricing, and inventory goals.

Implement and manage a process for ongoing market data collection and analysis to continually improve/maintain the Manchester Mills leadership position in the hospitality industry around expertise, quality, price, innovation, and customer service.
Create demand for our products and services.

The Ideal Candidate
Bachelor's degree in business, sales, merchandising or marketing
10-15 years related experiences including 5 years managing large, multi-location accounts.
Hospitality Industry experience preferred.

5 years textile industry experience in a management role
Proven track record of success managing diverse customer base
- driving profitable growth
Well-developed strategic planning, business and financial management skills
High degree of retail math fluency and ability to use financial data to influence revenue growth
Strong leadership skills, team player and self-starter
- collaborative, proactive and enthusiastic to drive teams to results.
Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and supports diversity
Extraordinary communication skills, including ability to elicit information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, negotiate tense situations successfully and handle/resolve conflict
Excellent organization and project management skills with strong follow through and attention to detail
Naturally curious and inquisitive with a creative mindset and analytical ability
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and manage relationships with customers, employees/peers, managers and partners
Mastery of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel)
Familiarity with Phocas, PeopleSoft and preferred
