Role Summary:
The Business Continuity (BC) & Disaster Recovery (DR) Director directs and manages BC/DR Program. The Director ensures effective and efficient disaster recovery and business continuity strategies and solutions are in place and operating to mitigate risks related to people, data, property and business operations. The Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Director is responsible for incident management and enterprise crisis management. This position is critical to ensure WPS readiness and recovery in the event of a crisis or disaster.
In this role you will:
Serve as the enterprise crisis manager for local, regional, national or international events that impact WPS Health Solutions business operations and/or shared services.
Regularly engage the Chief Information Security Officer and all other WPS Executives and leaders.
Lead the coordination of all aspects of the Business Continuity Management (BCM), Disaster Recovery (DR) Program and Business Resiliency Program, however denominated by name or reporting relationships.
Oversee and facilitate annual reviews of business continuity, disaster recovery and business resiliency processes, systems, and program documentation.
Establish and lead enterprise-wide crisis management policies, standards, plans (including but not limited to enterprise management to pandemic plans), and operational support platforms for all hazard events.
Develop and incorporate best practices; execute training standards and program for crisis incident management, disaster recovery and business resiliency.
Provide enterprise-wide direct support to all business units on incident and crisis management and disaster recovery planning.
Provide summarized and detailed metrics on crisis management, readiness, crisis and incident reporting, disaster recovery and perform gap analysis and controls assurance program reviews as necessary in areas critical to the operational effectiveness of WPS.
Maintain contact with outside incident management professional organizations and local/regional/national emergency response groups that participate in business continuity, disaster recovery, and emergency management.
Conduct and/or participate in departmental self-assessments to identify areas for improvement and potential areas of risk.
Monitor resolution of identified issues and ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken.
Design and facilitate annual or more frequent business continuity and disaster recovery drills and exercises.
Develop and execute mitigation plans in a timely manner.
Promote BCM and DR standards throughout the organization.
Serve as the BCM and DR interface with all functional areas of the organization and other corporate safety and emergency-oriented programs.
Collaborate with leaders from regulatory compliance programs to assure that the BCM program complies with federal, regional, state, and local regulations.
Coordinate and facilitate regular meetings with the BCM Core Team and quarterly meetings with the BCM Steering Team.
Coordinate and facilitate BCM and DR awareness training to all staff on an annual, or if necessary, a more frequent basis.
Engage with local community groups that promote and provide education in business continuity, disaster recovery, and emergency management to develop best practices for WPS.
Provide oversight of BCM consulting resources engaged to assist with various aspects of the BCM program.

Becoming/remaining a member of industry trade organizations such as the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) or the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII).
Working in a highly complex, highly security conscious environment that has a security umbrella that encompasses Health Insurance, contracts with Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and Department of Defense (DOD) contracts that include, Tricare and VA.

You need to have:

U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to Department of Defense restrictions.

Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent post high school and/or related work experience.

Two or more years of related work experience.

We also prefer:
Current Business Continuity Certification (e.g., ABCP, CBCP, MBCI, MBCP, MABR, or equivalent).
Five or more years of crisis management, disaster recovery and/or business resiliency.
Process improvement and technical project management experience, to include 5 or more years of business analysis experience.
Knowledge of IT disaster recovery technologies and best practices.
Group facilitation experience.
Practical working knowledge of consulting and industry methodologies that support effective Business Continuity Management program development.
High level of proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint, Excel, Word, and Visio.
