About Feed More:Feed More collects, prepares and distributes food to neighbors in need. With a service area that stretches across 34 cities and counties, our comprehensive programs and Agency Network are dedicated to providing our communities with access to quality food and healthy meals year round.
With the help of nearly 100 employees, close to 300 members of Feed More?s Agency Network and around 200 volunteers a day, Feed More is able to carry out its mission of fighting hunger throughout Central Virginia. Feed More is a proud member of Feeding America and Meals on Wheels America.
Position Summary:The Director of Agency Relations is responsible for the oversight of Feed More?s relationship management for all Partner Agencies. Working with Regional Managers, this position will ensure that effective strategies to get ?the right amount of the right food to the right people in the right way? will be executed. Additional responsibilities include: maintaining agency compliance with Feeding America, VDACS, and other regulatory standards; developing and supporting capacity and client growth objectives; external strategic programmatic partnerships; and communicating and executing Feed More?s strategic vision to all agency partners.
Reports To:Chief Operating Officer
FLSA Status:Exempt
Supervisory Responsibilities:Regional Managers, USDA Program Manager, Client Assistance Coordinator, and Compliance Coordinator
Budgetary Responsibilities:Development and oversight of Agency Support and CSFP budgets.
Primary Responsibilities
· Increase network capacity in terms of pounds, agencies and clients
· Develop strong agency partnerships utilizing segmentation and other tools
· Support/drive Feed More initiatives that include Link2Feed, SNAP Outreach, Wellness Pantries, and Healthcare partnerships
· Drive Agency Advisory Council as well as regional forums and training initiatives
· Ensure all agencies are in compliance with all regulations, rules and training
· Provide strategic leadership for and development of new initiatives that support the above
Required Qualifications
· Four-year degree in business, nonprofit management, or a related field. Will accept prior food bank/non-profit experience equivalence
· Demonstrable strong leadership skills
· 5-7 years working experience in non-profit or related community programs
· Must be passionate about work, mission driven, and self-motivated.
· Ability to work closely with internal and external partners
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities
· Visionary
· Ability to interact effectively with individuals and organizations of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and personalities
· Proficient in MS Office, especially PowerPoint
· Proficient in database/software such as Access and ERP?s
· Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills
· Ability to meet crises calmly and show initiative and flexibility in day-to-day operations
· Must have a valid VA driver?s license
Preferred Qualifications
· Master Degree in Business/Non-profit Management, public health, or related field
Experience in food banking/hunger alleviation
