As a key member of the Marketing and Customer Experience team, the Director of Marketing is a key contributor to the CDMO business units market/brand awareness and image, responsible for driving the CDMO lead management process through qualification to proper hand off to Sales and BD. The individual is responsible for driving results in a fast: paced environment by managing multi:channel marketing across the business in all spectrums of media. This includes inbound/digital lead progression, digital marketing effectiveness tracking and reporting, tradeshow and event management, strategic targeting and segmentation, maintenance of marketing systems and processes, vendor relations, website management and external communications. This person will interact with internal and external clients and requires independence as well as creative thinking and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Lead multi:channel marketing for CDMO business while remaining aligned with enterprise goals and connected with corporate communications.
Develop and implement marketing materials and communication to effectively educate the market and promote Emergent.
Build and manage a content rich editorial calendar and digital calendar including social media and webinars that remains on brand and aligned with corporate communications initiatives.
Assist in developing and executing the display aspects of the Emergent CDMO external brand including design, layout, construction and display of graphics for booth exhibits.
Initiate and manage the development of new offerings and content including presentations, white papers, interviews, video and photo assets, thought leadership, in collaboration with commercial development, sales and business development.
Research and recommend strategic targeting toward appropriate markets, segmentation and lead cross:functional initiatives which may include branding and innovation initiatives.
Manage design and consistency of company website, focused on continuous improvement of usability, design, content and conversion of leads to fill the sales funnel.
Support and improve organic search SEO/SEM performance and goal setting based on clic through rates, traffoc and conversions through email, social media, inbound marketing and advertising campaigns.
Act as main point of contact and customer facing resource for Emergents CDMO brand and identity
Track, measure and analyze all initiatives to report on social media and ROI.
Support sales initiatives, maximizing inbound traffic by qualifying leads based on set parameters, passing along qualified contacts and opportunities to inside sales and business development.
Promote customer awareness of the CDMO business units technologies; for new and existing customers
Improve target profiling, prioritization, and qualification criteria used for Lead Management.
Collaborate with Sales and Business Development staff to effectively identify qualified opportunities which meet the business units strategic goals.
Promote customer service excellence through appropriately timed hand:off of qualified opportunities.
Gain proficiency of Emergents CDMO service offerings, including Development Services, Drug Substance and Drug Product services. Communicate key benefits of Emergents integrated (or standalone) services to prospective customers.
Maintain a working knowledge of overall company capabilities to drive collaboration across and within business units
Comply with Emergent CDMO sales operations and reporting processes and tools

Education, Experience and Skills

BS/BA, in marketing, journalism, health:related or technical field.
8+ years of experience in CDMO marketing or related field
Experience in the healthcare/life science industry with customer facing or customer management experiences, preferably in sales or marketing.
