Job Description The Director, Managed Markets Marketing, Strategic Payer Marketing will drive the enterprise payer strategy and plans for multi:level engagement for top national payers, aligned with brand, global, HEOR, medical, government affairs, policy and field:based teams.

Essential Duties and Job Functions:

Establishes an optimized approach to engage top national payers: creates and communicates processes, defines Corporate Account Support Team members roles and responsibilities, orchestrates cross:functional engagement
Enables coordination between team members who interact with top national payers (leverage CRM and formalize team touchpoints in a compliant way)
Understands drivers and motivations of these customers
Connects Gileads strategic goals and customers motivations to identify impactful payer programs.
Partners with account managers on insights and co:creates strategic plans for each entity to ensure cross:functional alignment
Drives special initiatives (eg data partnerships, population:based marketing programs)
Educates cross:functional teams internally
Serves as the interface and helps coordination between functions, headquarter and field based
Proposes key success metrics and incentives
Creates marketing materials to promote payer programs
Leads and manages agency and consultant projects and relationships
Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and regulatory guidelines governing commercial and scientific interactions with healthcare professionals, payers, advocacy and other business partners

Specific Education and Experience Requirements:
A Bachelors degree in marketing or related fields is required
An MBA degree or equivalent is preferred
A minimum of 8 years of experience across managed markets and/or marketing, in pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industry
Strong experience in marketing, sales, reimbursement and/or account management preferred
Well:developed analytical business acumen and strategic skills
Proven ability to successfully manage complexity, such as solving problems and building strong relationships
Strong cross functional collaboration and project management skills
Demonstrated ability to lead without authority organizational alignment
Prior experience calling on large national plans, with established relationships is a plus.
Out of the box thinking and entrepreneur mindset with the ability to build new innovative ways to partner and collaborate with mega customers
Strong written and oral communication skills
Understanding of regulatory environment including programs designed to educate payers on drug safety and appropriate use (FDAMA 114, PIE )
Must be able to travel up to 20 nationally
Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, and regulatory guidelines governing commercial and scientific interactions with healthcare professionals, payers, advocacy and other business partners.
Requirements:

Extensive knowledge and experience across managed markets, and/or marketing, in pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industry.
Well:developed analytical business acumen and strategic skills.
Proven ability to successfully manage complexity : solving problems, building strong relationships, fostering organizational alignment.
Cross functional collaboration and strong project management skills.
Able to lead without authority.
Having had responsibility calling on large national plans, with established relationships is a plus.
