The position is responsible for leading and coordinating the development and implementation of the global marketing and U.S. launch strategy for the Sparsentan Clinical Program focused primarily on two rare, Nephrology indications Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and Immunoglobulin A Nephropathy (IgAN). In addition, the role will support development of the global marketing strategy for potential future indications for Sparsentan and future nephrology assets.

This important commercial leadership role will initially be responsible for developing and coordinating the global marketing strategy for Sparsentan in IgAN and then transition to leading the implementation of the U.S. Launch of Sparsentan for both indications.

We are seeking an individual with strong U.S. or global commercial expertise in the Nephrology or rare disease Nephrology.

Essential Functions:

Provide Nephrology Strategic Commercial Leadership for U.S. Sparsentan launch in FSGS and IgAN
Evolve and refine the Sparsentan Global Product Strategy based on clinical and market insights
Develop and implement launch strategy for FSGS and IgAN indications in the U.S. Market
Inform the development and measurement of LRP (mid: and long:term global forecasts)
Create and implement global marketing strategies (eg positioning, messaging, branding, medical education programs, patient support programs), for the commercialization of Sparsentan
Provide leadership to the cross:functional strategy teams in support of launch planning, coordination and execution
Work cross:functionally by partnering with Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial Analytics and the EU Commercial Team to drive key cross:functional strategic initiatives and alignment to support the global and U.S. launch of Sparsentan.
Partner with global commercial insights to conduct highly innovative research/analytics to help identify key business dynamics, behavioral barriers, segmentation, competitive positioning, and triggers/barriers to patient identification and demand generation
Provide direction and leadership for patient identification and segmentation strategies
Partner with Medical Affairs on the development and execution of the global market development strategy and disease awareness initiatives
Lead and direct the development of the Global Commercialization Plan (1 yr.) and budget allocation
Collaborate with senior management for final approval of direction and general strategic guidance on matters that impact long:term success of the asset or the company

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Business or Life Sciences discipline. Advanced degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience may be considered.
Strong scientific acumen and understanding of Nephrology clinical medicine.
10+ years related experience in the biotechnology industry, with commercial and/or marketing roles in nephrology or rare disease preferred.
Demonstrated launch success with commercial strategic implementation with either clinical or marketed therapeutics.
Strong business knowledge with the ability to coordinate efficiently with other functions and consider the impact of their decisions on the organization.
Proven, consistent history of high performance and leadership.
Significant commercial experiences, with demonstrated success in country and/or global marketing.
Product Launch experience.
Ability to work in a small company, fast:paced environment on both a strategic and tactical level.
Expert at creating buy:in and strategic alignment among various multi:cultural and worldwide stakeholders.
Ability to influence decision making bodies, both internally and externally resulting in aligned outcomes.
Demonstrated learning agility and rapid data:informed decision making.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
