Job DescriptionNotre Dame Elementary School (NDE)is a private Catholic school committed to developing and educating students in the traditions of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. Position Title:Director of DevelopmentReports To:Principal
Summary:
The Director of Development will communicate the philosophy, mission, values, goals and achievements of the school to our communities and will actively solicit additional financial support for the institution. The director manages the development office, develops and implements the strategic development plan in collaboration with the principal. The director works closely with administration, staff and board members to determine short and long-term development needs, marketing and promotional plans and to cultivate human and financial resources.
Essential Duties:
•Marketing & Communications-- Generate & manage general and targeted materials, web
content & social media content; report newsworthy events to outside media & businesses.
•Recruitment & Enrollment-- Design & implement an enrollment management plan.
•Annual Development Plan-- Design & implement a plan including events, annual plan, major
gifts, donor recognition & analysis of each.
•Alumni--Implement, manage & provide analysis of data base of donors.
•Capital Campaign-- Design, plan & coordinate.
•Programs Status-- Prepare & present ongoing monthly status reports.
•The Mission of NDE-- Ensure all programs & activities reflect our philosophy.
Qualifications:College degree or related experience; proven success with individual and institutional giving; ability to manage volunteer fundraising and community partnerships; proven experience with enrollment management, software applications and online tools as well as capital campaigns. The ideal candidate would demonstrate flexibility and innovation in moving NDE forward.
