Min Qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent. Two years of related experience.


Under the direction of the Director, Data Management and Reporting, the Database Specialist serves as database expert and is responsible for the update, improvement, and maintenance of accurate data and reporting using the Raisers Edge donor database, reporting and import software to support the Development Office fundraising efforts. This position fulfills departmental data requirements and provides data analytics, reporting and program support as needed.

Salary Range

Actual salary commensurate with experience.

Specific Job Related Duties
Maintains and ensures data integrity and consistency of RE data (constituent biographical updates, attributes, gift records, etc.) to Development Office standards; Creates complex downloads and develops custom and routine reports that require knowledge of RE, MS Access, Word, Mail Merges, and Excel; Provides backup for the Directors responsibilities including database installation, software support, data output needs; Provides daily review of all gifts entered to RE to check for accuracy and completeness by using a gift review macro, queries, and supporting scanned documents; Conducts large scale data imports of new constituents (staff, retirees, students, prospects) and updates to existing records; Conducts data integrity projects identified through analysis to support record accuracy, merging duplicate records, cleanup of lists for development events and mailings; Manages regular large volume address updates from NCOA; Researches missing data such as addresses or biographical information using research tools such as Lexis Nexis, Foundation Center Database, Guidestar; Manages Webtrax system for the Development Office to track computer hardware, maintain computer refreshes and laptop loaners; Handles all incoming inquiries to the general Development email address; Supports Stewardship program to accurately manage event related activities and donor communications such as endowment Reports of Use using database automation processes; Is fully knowledgeable in how gifts are processed and reported and provides backup for gift processing as needed; Manages routine Development Services projects such as Space Surveys, Staff Contact lists and supply inventories

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Preferred Skill/Competency
Excellent knowledge of Raisers Edge, PaperSave, Microsoft Office Excellent skills in MS Access Knowledge of gift processing and CASE standards for gift recording Ability to edit and create reports and queries to meet departmental needs Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy Exhibit initiative, eagerness to learn and professionalism Ability to manage multiple priorities
