Location: Tampa, FL Office
Responsible for participating in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle, typically for an assigned business unit, client program, or corporate department and utilizing various customer technology platforms.
The Developer Sr (EDI) is responsible to create and maintain end to end healthcare related EDI transactions. The Developer is also responsible for providing advice on EDI mapping and specifications, to review solution designs before implementation is started and to complete the EDI setup/configuration/mapping.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as an EDI mapping developer for implementation and deployment of plan and vendor EDI implementations using the Liaison Delta product suite (Liaison Delta experience not required - training will be provided)
Works on multiple vendor integrations simultaneously, with a focus on detail orientation and
regular status updates with vendor facing teams as well as IT Management.
Works closely with Enterprise Architecture and directs business analysts to insure high quality
EDI implementations.
Clarifies requirements and influences business decisions that lead to the right solutions
(creates repeatable processes that enable the required business capabilities).
Provides day-to-day support and maintenance of existing EDI integrations.
Implements new EDI integrations, and supports changes to existing integrations.
Identifies areas of concern and improvement opportunities in current EDI infrastructure.
Develops EDI best practices and standards.
Assists in the design and development of new transaction types through EDI.
Establishes schedules within the EDI tools to transmit, receive and process EDI documents.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree or technical institute training; 3+ years experience on one platform, multi database, multi language or multi business application; Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Incumbent should also have the ability to mentor others, lead small projects and provide troubleshooting support.
An ideal candidate will have:
Proficiency with XML, XSD and general schema development concepts, as well as traditional EDI structures such as ANSI X12 and EDIFACT
Proficiency with EDI mapping tools and trading partner configurations; including proficiency with SQL Server 2016 database and Oracle database
Prior experience with ETL development and maintenance in a data warehouse environment
P ossess proficient understanding of the software product development lifecycle
Previous Healthcare industry experience desired; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware and other equipment.
In depth knowledge of Healthcare EDI transactions (i.e. 837, 834, 820, 277, etc.).
