The Data Science and Data Engineering team is responsible for leveraging our internal data assets to deliver performant, scalable, and impactful data:driven solutions across the business. The team supports modeling initiatives in collaboration with our technology and business partners to support both strategic opportunities as well as guest:facing initiatives. As we continue to grow, our objectives are to deliver the increased performance of existing initiatives, the granularity of decision making and choice, and the scalability of solutions across our core lines of business.
As the Manager of the Data Engineering practice, you will be responsible for leading and contributing to development initiatives that advance and evolve Data Science deployments across the enterprise. You will be managing, developing, and leading a team of data experts to continue to deliver highly scalable solutions that drive impact across the organization.

Lead the development and design of data engineering projects that advance our enterprise goals of realizing data:driven impact through delivering intelligent solutions across our partners

Play a key role in managing and collaboration cross:functional technology and data initiatives

Requirements:

Demonstrated ability to lead and develop technical teams
:
Detail:oriented self:starter with a proven ability to deliver cross:functional solutions
:
Deep expertise with data warehousing systems, ETL, data systems integration, and cloud data solutions including data lakes or managed services like Snowflake or Databricks
:
2+ years of development experience within cloud ecosystems (Azure/AWS/GCP)
:
6+ years of development experience within data engineering, data science, or related IT function
:
Exemplary project management skills and proficiency with collaboration and project tools like Jira
:
Expertise in SQL across a variety of platforms
:
Expertise with common programming languages like Python or Java/Scala
:
Proficiency working with Linux environments and maintaining packages and software versions
:
Proficiency in designing, developing and deploying scalable data pipelines across multiple systems
:
Experience with common development tools like git and docker
:
Hands:on experience with scalable data processing paradigms like Hadoop/Hive and Spark
:
Experience with Data Science and Machine Learning development tools and processes
:
Proficiency with CI/CD, DevOps best practices and managing the SDLC
:
Exemplary communication and leadership in areas of stakeholder management and driving projects to completion
