The Court Technology Office is seeking a Network and Desktop support and services expert to provide daily technical support for multiple courtroom technological operations as well as to assist the Project management team for courthouse and courtroom renovations and upgrades.
Responsibilities include:
Assists all court employees with routine use of all data systems.
Performs various levels of IT support on all network systems, including password resets for the FFX County Enterprise.
Assists with tracking of inventory for all hardware, software, repairs, upgrades, forms, and supplies.
Assists with support of courtroom technology and audio/visual request from courts, court services, and other courthouse clients to include the office of the Commonwealth's Attorney, Office of the Sheriff, Fairfax Law Library, and related courthouse agencies.
Supports team members as needed and provides technical support to special projects as they arise.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Employment StandardsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Possession of an associate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field; plus three years of network and/or telecommunications experience; or a bachelor's degree in such fields; plus one year of experience in network or telecommunications system design, analysis, installation, and troubleshooting.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Valid driver's license.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check and a driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer. This position is emergency/essential services personnel. (Required to report for duty during inclement weather and/or other emergencies).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
At least one year of progressively, hands-on experience in audio/video network design and implementations.
Experience with project support with ability to assist management to plan, schedule, coordinate and manage construction, renovation, and special projects; ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Effective oral and written communications skills, willingness to learn and demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is generally sedentary, performed in a normal office environment. Ability to lift and mount equipment up to 50 pounds. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
