Corporate Counsel, AWS Legal Sales & Marketing - Global ServicesAmazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented attorney to support our customer support tools and services for Amazon Web Services (AWS), a dynamic and rapidly growing business within Amazon.com.
AWS is at the forefront of the cloud computing industry, providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute, storage, content delivery, AI/ML, database services, and more.
In this role, you will work directly with business teams as lead counsel advising your clients as they develop and operate cloud products and services, including: identifying legal risks and proposing mitigation strategies; advising on regulatory and compliance matters, privacy, security, IP, and go-to-market strategy; drafting and negotiating global services and commercial licensing agreements; and providing day-to-day input on business strategy.
Your role will give you the opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders, including privacy, security, marketing, public relations, and public policy teams.
You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways, and you will build processes that address risk and allow the business to innovate and scale quickly.
The successful candidate will be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, a fast learner, and someone who enjoys being continually challenged and can exercise sound judgment in ambiguous situations.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.
The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market.
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Amazon is a total compensation company.
Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
