About the Job
Marcum Search has a manufacturing client on Long Island that is seeking acontroller for their well-established company. This person will report directly to the CFO and will be hands on with managing the accounting team. They will oversee cost accounting, transactional accounting, and the month and year end closes. They will have hands on responsibilities and be a part of the strategic vision for the company ensuring that costs are managed and the manufacturing floor is running efficiently. This is a key position for someone who is excited about a challenge, working with the C-Suite executives and growing within a stable organization.
Requirements:
Bachelors’ degree. MBA and / or CPA, preferred.
10+ years in general accounting experience and at least 5 years of management experience
MUST HAVE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE with a deep knowledge of cost accounting and advanced technical knowledge of accounting.
Strong Excel and computer skills.
