Primary Purpose: You are responsible for the accounting activities of the company. You will establish accounting procedures and practices in line with general acceptable accounting principles and regulatory accounting standards. In addition, you are responsible for the maintenance of accounting records, preparation of financial reports, and audits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages audits and collaborates with external auditors to provide information needed for the annual audits. Responds to CFO with accurate and timely information to facilitate his financial needs. Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. Establishes and maintains systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data to enhance the Companys value. Participates in a wide variety of special projects. Manages highly complex compliance matters with minimal supervision. Works with multiple functions to develop cost:effective and creative solutions to achieve organizational goals and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interest of the organization. Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions. Manages the accounting department providing information about all company activities that will assist management, shareholders and other users in making educated economic decisions about the companys future. Manages and leads department personnel, including coaching, training, evaluating, hiring and terminating staff. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance 10+ years of relevant experience in public accounting and industry (preferably power generation) CPA certification Relevant management experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to lead and influence others. Maintain the highest ethical standards of conduct and integrity in all dealings with or on behalf of SWG at all levels inside and outside the organization. Ability to anticipate and accept changes in the organization and adapt to meet new requirements. Technical competencies in addition to understanding complex accounting issues including process improvement and critical thinking. Ability to work well under pressure with multiple competing deadlines and lead a diverse team with multiple priorities. Ability to interact and communicate well with individuals in all areas of the Company and outside vendors Excellent writing and presentation skills, verbal skills that are persuasive, and the ability to promote business initiatives. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and specialized accounting software.
Working Environment:
The job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands:

Must be able to accomplish physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. Vision abilities required by the job include close vision and distance vision. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds

This position may require 5 travel.
