As Branch Senior Lender/ Commercial Area Lending Manger, the Commercial Loan Officer will meet the requirements of a full time Commercial Loan Officer, while also managing and providing leadership and guidance to the Retail Branch Manager (RBM) of the Branch where their office is located.

As Senior Commercial Lending Area Manager for the Bank this person is responsible for a commercial loan portfolio of $40 - $85 million and manages commercial lenders assigned to the area branch departments.
Responsible for commercial, agriculture, commercial real estate loans and personal loans over $50,000.
Responsible for achieving the portfolio growth objectives as established by the CEO/President while adhering to established loan policies and procedures.
Responsible for effective oversight and management of the portfolio through careful analysis, timely review of customer loan performance, and adherence to bank lending policy and procedure.

COMPETENCIES:
Is able to explain commercial loan products, complete all documentation and disclosures requirements and close a commercial loan within their lending limits with guidance and direction.
Is able to collect and analyze applications, tax returns and financial statements required for commercial loans within their lending limits with guidance and direction.
Understands commercial loan underwriting program and is able to input information into system with guidance and direction.
Ability to write clearly and concisely.
Uses computer programs that assist with financial analysis and document storage with assistance and direction.
Demonstrated credit and analytical skills.
Ability to write clearly and concisely.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Work with RBM to manage the Branch where office is located
Meet all objectives listed on the Loan Officer 1 personal scorecard through proper/productive management of the loan portfolio.
Protect the bank from financial loss on loans by timely review of customer loan performance and effective collection procedure.

Assure complete and accurate loan documentation files, by following banks lending policy and procedure.
Develop and maintain strong account relationships, both credit and noncredit. .
Promote a good image of the bank in the community by being involved in civic and charitable activities.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the VP/Commercial Banking Manager and Credit Administration.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor?s degree or at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and grow a loan portfolio.
Proficient in Word, Excel, Cash Focus, Director, Internet, and demonstrated ability to learn other computer programs.
