How will you contribute to the team?
Demonstrate high level of understanding the principles and practices of coastal engineering, coastal hydrodynamics, and wave theory.

Demonstrate ability to complete engineering calculations and modeling for coastal flood hazard analyses, surf zone dynamics, and offshore hydrodynamic modeling and statistical analyses.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex problems.

Coordinate work with other coastal engineers and professionals within and outside own discipline and with support services staff.

Manage individual tasks and small projects and be part of a team for larger or multi-disciplinary projects

Communicate effectively and have good writing skills

Maintain and enhance our reputation with clients, approval agencies and industry professionals as an outstanding service provider.

Maintain consistently high standards of delivery, quality, flexibility, and innovation.

Conduct peer and quality reviews on all applicable projects.

Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

What will you contribute?
Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Coastal, or Environmental Engineering; Master of Science Degree preferred

At least 2 years of experience in coastal or marine engineering

Coastal engineering analysis in support of coastal flood hazard studies under a predefined framework, specifically wave runup/overtopping analysis, and wave overland propagation analysis.

Application of numerical modeling tools for simulating circulation, waves, water quality, or sediment transport (e.g. ADCIRC, Delft3D, SWAN, CMS, FUNWAVE, FVCOM, SCHISM, COULWAVE).

Experience with statistical analyses strongly desired.

Experience using ArcGIS or similar products a plus.

Scripting using Matlab, Python, or equivalent preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to conduct effective client and agency presentations and written technical report preparation, as well as effective skills working in diverse team environments with staff, clients, and stakeholders.

Demonstrated successful experience in decision making, including making sound defensible business decisions; and identifying, assessing, evaluating, and solving complex problems.

Demonstrated project experience through professional publications and presentations.

Participate in development of proposals, assist in business development, present at conferences, participate in professional organizations, and have the opportunity to grow nationally.

Ability to individually manage small stand-alone tasks and be part of team on big multi-disciplinary projects
