Cloud Engineer The Cloud Engineer serves as a technical thought leader and subject matter expert for the continued development and optimization of our public cloud (Azure) platform. Participates as a senior contributor in the implementation of AdaptHealth's next-generation technology platform, specifically as it applies to our Application and Infrastructure road maps. This position is responsible for designing, deploying and maintaining the Azure environment for the entire organization.
Job Duties: Provides expert level design and operational practices for Azure and wider Microsoft Product Suite.Ensures alignment between security architecture frameworks, standards, and overall IT cloud strategy.Creates and maintains templates and other reference artifacts for the Azure environment.Advises on and implements deployment of new resources in architectures that are automated and scalable to optimize user experience.Participates in all aspects of the software development life cycle for Azure solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.Supports the migration of applications into AdaptHealth's cloud environment and assists in the analysis, tuning, and re-architecture when necessary to ensure adherence to business requirements and cost optimization efforts.Troubleshoots incidents, identifies root cause, fixes, and documents problems, and implements preventive measures.Educates users on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required.Employs exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity Competency, Skills and Abilities: Deep understanding of and experience with the five pillars of well-architected frameworks.Ability to recognize the versatility of different deployment frameworks and know the tradeoffs when choosing between the various orchestration and configuration management tools.Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, data scientists, and subject matter experts.Self-starter and work in an integrated team-based environment.Strong troubleshooting skillsAdvanced knowledge of cloud platform servicesAbility to learn software suites quicklyMust have a drive to learn and continually improve the work environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProduct and industry knowledgeAbility to work independently and with a teamStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projectsMental alertness and the ability to properly treat confidential informationAdvanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office Requirements

Minimum Job Qualifications: An associate degree from an accredited college in computer science, informational technology, management information systems or related field is required, Bachelor's degree preferred.Azure Cloud Platform Certification preferredFive (5) years of experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on the Azure platform is required.Ten (10) years of experience in highly virtualized private environments and public cloud platform experience, with at least 5+ years in Azure preferred.Demonstrated Experience working with Azure to provide highly available, secure, and reliable services that take advantage of Microsoft's catalog of pre-existing solutions.
