Job Description
As a Cybersecurity Central Lecturer, you will be responsible for coordinating on and delivering key components of a Cybersecurity student’s course structure, such as lectures and instructional videos. Additionally, you will function as a key player in helping the Central Cybersecurity Education team with Cybersecurity Curriculum projects. As lecturing is a main responsibility of the Cybersecurity lecturer, demonstrated Cybersecurity lecturing skills (through past cybersecurity teaching experience, conference talks, workshops,...) is a requirement.

Collaborate thoughtfully and impactfully with colleagues:
Create, Curate an deliver instructional materials
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of cybersecurity curriculum
Use feedback from students gathered via class surveys, team members, and students, in order to reflect, adjust, and continually improve your practice, in partnership with campus leadership
Collaborate with other teams of the Central Education Team and Campus / Online Cohort Lead to deliver feedback from students and staff about what resources and improvements would drive the best student experiences
Be an exemplar of Flatiron School’s values in your work and your interactions: Make No Little Plans, Pursue Mastery, Work Together, Radiate Positivity, and Be Scrappy
Actively contribute to the full student life cycle by leading and executing community marketing, admissions, and career services projects - which will sometimes occur on evenings and weekends
Provide professional development for cohort leads and peers
Represent Flatiron School at conferences and external events (this potentially includes travel)
Video creation and lab development

General Qualifications for the Cybersecurity Central Lecturer
At least 4 years of Professional experience as a cybersecurity professional
Extraordinary teaching skills, ability to deliver engaging lectures in a virtual classroom
Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
Experience developing instructional materials
Strong communication skills, and great judgment about what communications to use in a particular situation or on a particular medium; ability to build trust with students
The ability to work cross-functionally with a variety of colleagues, from Curriculum Developers to Cybersecurity Cohort Leads, to engineers and designers.
Detail-oriented and likes to solve problems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Specific Qualifications for the GRC, Strategy and Analysis, & Cyber Threat Intelligence Central Lecturer
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Passion for in-class and online education
Working expertise with some or all of the following Information Security compliance standards; Fedramp, NIST,HIPPA, PCI, Federal Risk Management Framework.
Working expertise in applying Risk Management processes including Risk Analysis, Risk Assessment, Risk scoring.
Working knowledge of NIST Risk Management framework and its application.
Working knowledge and application of the ICS 20 Security Controls.
Working knowledge of Security planning, business continuation planning and disaster response.
Working knowledge of other Risk frameworks such as COBIT.
Standards / Frameworks (CoBIT 5, ITIL, ISO 15504, ISO 20000, ISO 27000, ISO 31000, ISO 38500, NIST series 800 guidance)
Extensive experience with Cyber Threat Intelligence
Subject matter expertise with adversarial thinking, critical thinking tools, geopolitical cyber issues, and security strategy development.
Advanced knowledge of cyber-criminal networks, functions and TTPs. Knowledge on building threat profiles and threat intelligence products.
Knowledge of the cyber threat intelligence process; collection, analysis, production and distribution and how CTI fits into a comprehensive Security enterprise.
Application of CTI visualization platforms and how they fit in Cyber Security operations centers, CTI teams and Hunt teams.
Advanced knowledge of a cyber threat intelligence platform or feed and how it integrates into a comprehensive security enterprise.
Knowledge of application of the diamond and kill chain or related cyber threat models in critical thinking, planning and application of CTI.
Advanced knowledge of assessing system security requirements based on risks to confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA Triad) by selecting an appropriate security control baseline, applying and validating security control implementation, performing security assessments, and maintaining security posture by prioritizing vulnerabilities for remediation.
Working knowledge of CTI relationship with advanced security practices, incident handling and response.

Expected Compensation Range:

$100k - $130k annual salary
