About the position:
This position will be assigned to the FSS Accounting Office at Holloman AFB.
Regular Full time position, 35-40 hours per week. Benefits included.


Performs receiving and disbursing cashier duties.
Collects cash, checks, credit card receipts, and other supporting documentation.
Prepares the full range of cash management and accountability duties that may include analyzing, and correcting erroneous data on computer runs, training lower grade cashiers, bank deposits and daily reports and completes related cash control forms.
Performs cashier functions in support of other staff involved in the sales of services or merchandise.
Receives money, issues receipts, makes change and completes related cash control forms.
Consolidates daily receipts by NAFI, ensuring all monies are accounted for into a single deposit and transports to local financial institution in accordance with established deadlines and directives.
Performs reconciliation, balancing and auditing of deposits received from all cost centers.
Maintains the integrity of a controlled area is required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience in responsible clerical or office work which includes demonstrated ability to perform common arithmetic problems, and making change when receiving payments from customers. Must also have experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit or other processing of cash items when this includes (1) direct handling of cash items, and (2) use of cash accountability control methods. Must have the ability communicate both orally and in writing. Must posses skill in dealing with the public. Position does require knowledge of established double-entry accounting procedure and techniques. Must posses skills in word processing and spreadsheet software. Qualified typist is preferred.
