They demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses commonly encountered within the inpatient setting.
The role demonstrates advanced clinical knowledge, interdisciplinary collaboration, professionalism, and systems-based practice.
They work with staff, nurses, physicians, and medical/surgical trainees to ensure safe, effective, quality patient care.
The position requires coverage during evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Minimum board certifications include: BJH: Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP); SLCH: Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Primary Care (CPNP-PC), Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Acute Care (CPNP-AC), or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
Preferred certifications include: BJH: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP); BJH Women's Assessment Center: Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP); SLCH: Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Acute Care (CPNP-AC).
