We are looking for an Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) Business Sales Manager to lead our APU sales and commercial efforts. This position is responsible for all sales and commercial related aspects of the business unit and sales support functions, both internal and external to the organization. The ideal candidate has experience in the APU, power generation, and/or trucking industry (or adjacent industry) and is able to provide strategic and tactical sales direction and then execute on that plan. This position requires a blend of sales leadership, program / product management and sales skills in order to develop and execute a business plan, assist the work of other APU-focused sales resources, adapt to changing technologies and environments, lead and assist the unit sales force in promoting the services, and generally grow the business.

Responsibilities include:
Act as the sales leader and main point of contact for the sales initiatives internally and externally, including managing the sales team relationships with all partners / constituents
Organize sales activities to support successful plan execution
Determine/understand additional developments and enhancements to meeting customers and dealer needs
Evaluate relationships with OEMs that can leverage and grow the solution platform
Establish and grow additional segment revenues (dry, specialty and niche segments)
Work directly with organization and dealer sales teams, either in a training capacity or assisting with direct sales to major customers
Lead and develop relationships with key strategic accounts expanding footprint and breaking into new accounts and segments
Collaborate with marketing to provide appropriate support materials, expand marketing efforts and explore additional brand growth initiatives

Education / Certifications
BA/BS degree with 10+ years experience or MA/MS degree with 7+ years experience or PhD with 5+ years experience.
Experience / Qualifications
Technical knowledge of auxiliary power units, power generation or related products / services. Business development experience. Proven track record in sales leadership and performance. Demonstrated program management / leadership competency. Highly adaptable to changing requirements. Preferred experience in the transportation, power or equipment industries.
