Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative/technical/ related field (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering).
3+ years of relevant experience in one of the following areas: Data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence or business analytics.
3+ years of hands-on experience in writing complex, highly-optimized SQL queries across large data sets.
Strong in data modeling, ETL development, and metrics definitions from concept to implementation.
Experience using Tableau or other Dashboarding/ report development technologies.

As a result, AGL works directly with logistics cross-border carriers and partners with several stakeholder teams to constantly improve the international delivery experience.
In AGL, the Exports Visibility team owns data, reporting and insights products and strategy for global exports. We deliverworld class business intelligence and strategic insights, leveraging data science and robust data infrastructure. We are a strong team with rich experience across business intelligence (BI), data science, data engineering and product management. . With that in mind, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to join our team and help drive our BI strategy and roadmap.. Our ideal candidate is someone who is always learning and improving as the business grows and systems/technologies continue to evolve; and enjoys innovating, thinking big and collaborating with other to solve challenging problems
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contribute to the architecture, design and implementation of next generation BI solutions ? including streaming data applications.
Collaborate with data scientists, BIEs and business stakeholders to surface high quality predictive/ prescriptive business insights and analytics
Collaborate with stakeholders to design and develop high quality KPI/ metric dashboards that effectively track and analyze evolving business initiatives.
Continuously improve BI mechanisms and analytic processes, through automation or by simplifying self-service support for stakeholders

5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, BI Engineer, Business/Financial Analyst or Systems Analyst in a company with large, complex data sources.
Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets
Experience working with AWS big data technologies (EMR, Redshift, S3)
Demonstrated strength in data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing
Proven success in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe data modeling decisions and data engineering strategy
Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring other engineers for best practices on business intelligence
