Radisys is searching for a highly motivated Business Development Director for our Communications Solutions business. This person must have a track:record of success in identifying target customers within defined segments, building a pipeline, and nurturing prospects into opportunities. The portfolio includes a range of digital experience applications, communications application development capabilities, and communications core network infrastructure. A strong network of contacts in the communications service provider community, ability to create tailored value propositions, and desire to build new revenue streams with proven technology are keys to success. Candidate should have strong understanding of B2B and B2C communications services, mobile market (MNO, private network, IoT) and SaaS business models. Candidate should also have experience selling technical concepts and services to communications service providers.

Critical Job Duties:

Hunting for new business and starting up Business Development activities.
Develop and cultivate strategic relationships with Communication Service Providers.
Qualify business opportunities, create and deliver sales presentations, and support account teams in negotiating and close agreements.
Responsible for accurate and timely business projections and capable of navigating complex, multi:faceted sales : both vertically and horizontally.
Segmenting market opportunities and identifying and prioritizing targets, influencing roadmap and ecosystem partner targets to fill white space to address select segment needs, and creating attack plan and objectives for stakeholders to support

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10+ years Business Development and Sales within product/SaaS ISVs and OEMs targeting mobile communications service providers.
Proven background in developing relationships with key decision makers and influencers including experience in closing complex, consultative sales
Knowledge of key enabling technologies including 5G, IoT, cloud/NFV, IMS, digital engagement solutions, etc.)
Experience creating business and sales plans and meeting and exceeding pipeline and sales objectives
Significant market contacts, technical knowledge and experience selling to carriers
Strong customer facing skills and the ability to travel up to 50 with some trips on short notice due to business needs.
Comfortable working with remote multi:functional teams around the globe to gather required BD/sales support to move projects forward.
Comfortable working in startup mode selling WIP solutions delivered on Web/Agile models
Ability to provide and work from a home office located in the region.
Bachelors degree is required, advanced degree a plus.
