Business Analyst

Job Description:
As a Business Analyst, applies expert level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues through technical solutions. Works on business outcomes of highly complex technical scope. Acts as a subject matter expert in the team providing analysis of information and work on specific assets within the infrastructure. Exercises independent judgment within defined or undefined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Evaluates unique circumstances and drives recommendations.
Responsibilities and Key Delivery Areas:
· Convert business requirements into functional solution requirements that are utilized by software development resources. These requirements should be matched to the originating business requirement documents that drive the design.
· Document and perform end to end test cases that are supported by underlying user stories.
· Performs business analysis, identifies root cause, and develops recommendations/ solutions to drive business improvements for the assets they represent.
· Analyzes test defects and corrective actions for such defects and track to resolution and end user validation.
· Works with solution architects, process engineers, UX/UI designer partners and developers to research components of solutions to problems.
· Applies policy and makes decisions for defect vs enhancement
· May produce visualization, user experience and configuration elements of solution design.
· Works closely with Deployment Managers to align to release notes, training content and user guides
· Leads Joint Analysis and Design sessions for multiple assets and scope as assigned
Education and Experience Required:
· Typically, 5+ years’ experience in directly related business.
· Typically, Graduate level degree in Engineering, Science or Computer Science disciple or MBA.
Knowledge and Skills:
· Advanced knowledge of IT and services industry.
· Must be able to analyze problems and solve them creatively.
· Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills.
· JIRA or Test Rail experience preferred.
