About The Childrens Hospital of San Antonio:

We have transformed into a world:class childrens hospital : both inside and out. In a typical year, we project that we will have provided inpatient care to 5,000 children, emergency care to 80,000 patients (including our downtown campus and our freestanding pediatric emergency center at Westover Hills), and 73,000 outpatients.
The Childrens Hospital of San Antonio employs over 600 allied health professionals, plus 400 nurses. The Joint Commission licensed us as the first freestanding childrens hospital in San Antonio on September 18, 2012.
Early February 2013, The Childrens Hospital of San Antonio finalized agreements to collaborate with Texas top pediatric medical providers, Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Childrens Hospital.

The Section of Emergency Medicine of the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine has an opening for a full:time faculty position at The Childrens Hospital of San Antonio. This position comes with a faculty appointment within the Department of Pediatrics, a competitive salary, and a full benefits package. The candidates credentials and experience will determine the rank of the academic appointment. Responsibilities include the provision of care to critically ill and injured children in an Emergency Department setting as well as teaching fellows, residents, medical students, and staff. Minimum Education: MD/DO degree, Pediatric Emergency Fellowship Trained
Minimum Certification/Licenses: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (or eligible for same);
Board certification in General Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (or eligible for same);
Current certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
