Position Summary

Work directly with the merchandisers to coordinate specific plans for categories. Work jointly with merchandisers in building executable plans for categories including assortment, plan:o:gram direction, promotional events, pricing and in:store execution. Provide overall support and problem:solving assistance to the merchandisers to achieve department goals and objectives. Demonstrate the companys core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions
:Travel to work and store locations to attend company meetings and oversee merchandising strategies in stores
:Support special projects as needed
:Understand the competitive landscape within the markets/program and provide feedback to all stakeholders
:Create and maintain reports (daily, monthly and quarterly)
:Establish working relationship with internal Business Units that provide support to overall project
:Establish working relationship with project teams internal and external to the company
:Assist in the development of local, seasonal and special merchandising programs
:Assist in resolving store issues and remove barriers that prohibit the stores from implementing the department plan
:Understand pricing strategies on items and categories to maximize sales and profits
:Monitor operational opportunities and communicate with operations team on action plans for improvement
:Review and communicate results on assigned categories internally and externally to stakeholders
:Assist in gathering and ensuring accuracy of all item level information for both assortment and promotion
:Assist in promotional planning of item level process execution for program
:Assist in managing assortment (including item setup and maintenance); support plan:o:gram process for program

Minimum Position Qualifications
: High School Diploma or GED
:2+ years of retail/category merchandising/management background
:Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
:Strong understanding of industry/technical terms and processes
:Ability to collaborate and work cooperatively in a team:based environment
:Strong attention to detail
:Ability to prioritize/multi:task while providing accurate/on:time results
:Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities

Desired Previous Experience/Education
:2+ years as an assistant category manager
: Bachelors Degree

Education Level:High School Diploma/ GED Required
