Responsibilities:
As an
Aquatics Coordinator
, you will support daily operations of the Aquatics department by leading team members, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high standards of guest service. You will partner with leadership to oversee staffing, training, and operational execution while promoting a safety-first culture in all aquatic environments.
HOW YOU WILL DO IT:
Supervise and assign daily responsibilities for Aquatics team members, including lifeguards and attendants
Ensure all aquatic attractions and areas operate safely and in compliance with park safety standards
Monitor and enforce guest safety rules while supporting team members in high-volume environments
Coordinate staffing, rotations, and break schedules to maintain proper coverage at all times
Conduct routine inspections of aquatic areas, equipment, and facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards
Assist with staffing, scheduling, and daily operational needs within the department
Support training and development of team members, including lifeguard procedures and emergency action plans
Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of rescue equipment and aquatic supplies
Respond to and assist with aquatic emergencies in accordance with park protocols
Support special events, group outings, and peak operational periods
Promote a positive team environment that drives engagement, retention, and morale
Deliver and reinforce exceptional guest service standards across all aquatic areas
Qualifications:
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and risk prevention
Knowledge of lifeguarding practices, water safety, and emergency response procedures preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with multiple departments
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining safety and operational standards
Proficiency with basic computer systems
Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends, holidays, and peak operating periods
Valid Driver's License with the ability to obtain a Park Driver's License
Ability to obtain and maintain required Aquatics/Lifeguard certifications
OTHER NOTES:
· All other duties as assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole
· Reports to Aquatics Leadership
