Job description The Government Health Management Systems Product Team in the Boeing Global Services Digital Aviation & Analytics organization is looking for a highly motivated Software Test Engineer contractor. The engineer will be part of an agile team supporting the development of the F/A-18 Automated Maintenance Environment. The Software Test Engineer will work closely with the Test Team, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, development team, and other stakeholders to meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities Include:
• Work with Agile team to analyze requirements, increase automated testability and decrease risk
• Create test plans and test cases, including mapping requirements to unit, integration, and system tests
• Performs functional, integration, system and regression testing both manually and automatically
• Investigate incoming issues by reproducing reported issues and investigating bugs and logs, while analyzing test results to find out root causes of failures
• Participates in ongoing process improvement efforts to ensure test automation is promoted and applied effectively across portfolio
• Collaborates with stakeholders to manage timelines and deliverables
• Analyze, develop, maintain, and upgrade test standards and procedures
• Design and develop QA best practices
• Researches tools, methods, and technology trends to support quality and test automation objectives

Required skills:
• Bachelor's degree: Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
• 5+ years of experience developing test cases and coding unit testing in C#
• Experience with software tools for source control, bug tracking, and automated testing
• Strong understanding of different testing methodologies and their proper application
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
• Working knowledge of QA principles and methodology (Agile/Scrum) in the following areas: functional testing, automation testing, regression testing, stress testing
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery and applying test automation in the deployment pipeline.
• Must be a motivated self-starter able to work in a fast pace environment with minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications/Experience:
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Experience with automated testing is preferred. Use of the tool “Ranorex” to develop automated testing is ideal.
• Experience with Embedded Testing in an Agile Team
• Experience with automated testing software tools, specifically Ranorex
• Experience writing software in C#
• Experience supporting military aircraft platforms
• Experience with embedded testing in an agile team
Typical Education/Experience:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
