This position is for a 3rd Shift 2nd Pressman at our facility in Charlotte, NC.
Your Role
At start of the shift the 2nd Pressman will make sure they have paper and inks ready for their jobs, they will check the water conductivity and coating to make sure they will have enough for the day.

At the start of the job, the 2nd Pressman will double check the jacket information to make sure it is accurate.

Once job is running, the 2nd Pressman will make sure the fountains are full enough to run job and make sure the feeder runs with minimal trips.

Adheres to maintenance and press schedule.

Delivers the daily schedule.

Reports any press problems to the 1st Pressman.

Performs job change over including ink removal, plate removal and wash up with the 1st Pressman's help.

Ensures that the press is not left unattended at any time during the run.

Keeps press and adjacent area clean.

Performs line purges and line clearances.

Performs in-process product quality inspections and adjustments accordingly.

Segregates defective material and cautions loads as needed.

Aerates and delivers loads due to cutting work in process lanes.

The candidate is responsible for complying with all cGMP's, SOP's, Safety, and Company policies

All other duties as assigned by management

Your Profile
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
High School Diploma or equivalent required

2 years of experience in offset multi-color printing press

3 years of experience as a Feeder Operator

ERP,cGMP, andSafety Training

Previous experience in pharmaceutical folding carton environment preferred

Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Write routine reports and correspondences.

Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

Solve problems involving several complex variables in standardized situations.

Ability to learn and use work related software programs.

Intermediate mechanical aptitude.

Ability to work with little to no supervision.

Proven reliable attendance in work history.

Able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 lbs.

Able to climb stairs/ladders as well as lift and move boxes.
