Remote Accountant

Job Description:

Airgas is seeking a detail-oriented Remote Accountant to join our team in San Diego, California. As a part-time associate level accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in accounting and possess the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities:- Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes- Provide financial support to various departments within the organization- Maintain confidentiality of financial information- Support the month-end and year-end close processes

Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field- 3+ years of experience in accounting- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Resilient and adaptable personality traits- Soft skills in negotiation and creativity- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
