Job Overview:

As the Manager Actuary for the ACA pricing team, you will lead a team of actuaries and analysts responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining pricing strategies for our ACA-compliant health plans. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product development, underwriting, finance, and regulatory compliance to ensure our pricing models align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Pricing Strategy Development:

Lead the development of pricing strategies for ACA-compliant health plans, considering factors such as claims experience, market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape.
Actuarial Modeling:

Oversee the development and maintenance of actuarial models to analyze risk, estimate costs, and determine pricing for individual and group health plans.
Regulatory Compliance:

Stay current with ACA regulations and guidelines, ensuring that pricing strategies and models are in compliance with federal and state requirements. Work closely with regulatory affairs team to address any compliance issues or concerns.
Team Leadership:

Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of actuaries and analysts. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment that promotes professional growth and development.
Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, underwriting, finance, and sales to align pricing strategies with business goals and objectives. Communicate pricing decisions and rationale effectively to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
Fellow or Associate of the Society of Actuaries (FSA/ASA) designation required
Minimum of 6 years of experience in the healthcare industry
Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of effectively managing teams and driving results.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
